Geoffrey Horton

Geoffrey is from the small town of Clyo, Georgia and has been a member of the Investments Committee since Fall 2009. He is a third year student studying Industrial Engineering with a concentration in Supply Chain Engineering. Prior to his current role of Senior Financial Director, he has previously served as the Alternative Investments sector analyst, Energy sector analyst, Director of Mentorship, as well as the Director of the Portfolio.

Geoffrey held an internship at A. Montag & Associates this past summer in Atlanta, helping several of the portfolio managers fulfill client investment objectives. This summer he will be in New York working alongside traders at SMB Capital. In his spare time, Geoffrey thoroughly enjoys managing his own portfolio. He also enjoys watching sports, bowling, soccer, billiards, and spending time with family and friends.

 

Trippe Buis

Trippe Buis is a senior Business Administration student with a concentration in Finance and a minor in International Affairs. He is from Snellville, Georgia.  He has been a member of the investments committee since the Fall of 2009. Prior to his current role as Senior Managing Director he was Director of Mentorship in the Spring of 2011, Executive Secretary in the Fall of 2010, and the Sector Analyst for Consumer Cyclicals in the Spring of 2010. He has held an internship with Buckhead Capital Management since the summer of 2010 working in asset management.  Outside the IC Trippe is a brother of Lambda Chi Alpha and enjoys playing and watching soccer and golf.

Daniel Bruce is a Business Administration student at Tech with a concentration in Finance. He has been involved with the Investments Committee since Spring 2011, serving as the sector analyst for the REIT group and currently serving as the Director of Marketing. Daniel will be graduating in Fall 2012 and will pursue a career in finance.

Before coming to Tech, Daniel was a musical artist signed to Warner Music Group. He has several years of touring experience across 7 countries with songs on Xbox games, television shows, and foreign cinema. Daniel is currently working in IT as the CDW intern at Georgia Tech.


Mark Gurevich

Mark Gurevich is a 3rd year industrial engineering student from Marietta, GA and has been a member of the investments committee since his freshman year. Prior to his current role as Director of the Portfolio, he was the Alternative Investments sector analyst. Outside of the IC, he has been involved with GT Hillel, Freshman Council, The Investment Banking Club, and Alpha Epsilon Fraternity. Mark has interned with Norfolk Southern and Goldman Sachs in the past, and plans to pursue a career in the financial services industry upon graduation.

Patrick Bell

Patrick Bell is a Business Administration student concentrating in Finance and will graduate this May. Patrick joined the Investments Committee in spring 2010 and has previously held the positions of Technology and Financials Sector Analyst. He is a Georgia native having lived in Decatur his whole life.

During his time at Tech, he has interned in various financial roles for Fulton County Government, TRX, and IBM. Post-graduation, Patrick has accepted a position with IBM as a Financial Analyst and plans to go for the CFA followed by a MBA. In his free time, he enjoys running, playing tennis, and casual reading.

Alex Han

Alex Han is a third year Business Administration student with a concentration in finance. He was born in Ithaca, NY, moved to Marietta, GA when he was 4, and then moved to Lilburn, GA as a sophomore in high school. He joined the Investments Committee Spring of 2011, was promoted to the sector analyst of consumer cyclicals for the fall of 2011, and was promoted to Director of Mentorship (IDG) for the spring of 2012. Outside of the Investments Committee, he has held two internships; one in the accounting department of an NGO in South Africa, and one with HSBC Private Bank in Taiwan. He is also a brother of Lambda Chi Alpha, and was elected to the Treasurer position Fall of 2011. He enjoys working out and keeping up with my mixed martial arts training from high school.

Justin Migliaccio

Justin Migliaccio is a senior Business Administration student with a concentration in Finance and a minor in Economics. He is from Johns Creek, GA and has been a member of the Investments Committee since the Fall of 2010. Prior to his current role as a Director, he was the Sector Analyst for Healthcare. Justin held an internship at Morgan Stanley in the summer of 2009, and currently finished the 2011 Summer Analyst Program at SunTrust Robinson Humphrey.

Outside of the Investments Committee, he enjoys being the Sweetheart of Alpha Xi Delta, volunteering with Be The Match/Relay For Life, fishing, being an active brother of Tau Kappa Epsilon, watching CNBC/UFC, and actively day trading on his own portfolio.

Mehreen Iqbal

Mehreen Iqbal is a 4th year Business Administration student from Lilburn, Georgia with a concentration in Finance and a certificate in Accounting. She has been a member of the Investments Committee since Fall 2009 and has previously served as the Healthcare Sector Analyst. Mehreen is a GT Ambassador and has worked with SGA, Relay For Life, and MOVE. Mehreen has interned with Time Warner and Bank of America while at Tech and hopes to pursue a career in the financial services industry upon graduation.
Peter de Souza

Peter de Souza is a fourth year BSBA Finance candidate from Dallas, Texas and completed the first half of his degree at the Texas Academy of Mathematics and Science.  He has been a member of the Investments Committee since January 2011, acting as the sector analyst for Financial Services before being promoted to his current position.  Since January 2012, he has worked as an intern at the UBS wealth management practice in Atlanta.

On graduation, Peter is considering pursuing a graduate degree in financial mathematics.  He is interested in quantitative trading methods, derivative securities, and venture capital.  Outside of finance, he enjoys writing, programming, and strategy games.

Huy Huynh

Huy Huynh is a Ph.D. candidate in the School of Mathematics and has been a member of the Investment Committee since
spring 2010. Huy currently holds the position of Quant Analyst and has previously served as a sector analyst for Fixed Income,
Technology and Healthcare.
Outside of the Investment Committee, Huy teaches Math and Statistics classes at Georgia Tech as both an instructor and a
teaching assistant. Also, as a Math Ph.D. candidate, Huy’s research is to develop statistical tools to measure biological diversity
indices that capture the species richness and evenness of ecological communities on Earth.
In his spare time, Huy enjoys singing karaoke and playing badminton and table tennis with his family and friends. Huy Huynh was
born and raised in Da Nang, Vietnam. In August 2001, at seventeen, he came to the U.S. as an exchange student, living with an
American family in Ada, Oklahoma. He graduated from Byng High School in May 2002.
